CALL FOR PAPERS LSP, TRANSLATION AND MULTILINGUALISM
XXXII SYMPOSIUM “Language in Motions” 10-11 February 2012 University of Vaasa, Finland The VAKKI symposium is an occasion for researchers in LSP, translation, multilingualism and related fields to meet in an international and multilingual environment. We welcome papers and posters relating to translation theory, LSP and multilingualism. The length of the paper should be 20 minutes (+ 5 minutes of discussion) and the size of the poster A1 (about 60 cm x 84 cm) at least. The theme of the 2012 symposium is Languages in Motion but other papers in VAKKI’s research field are also welcome. The theme can be approached in many ways and we hope for varied papers, where language and mobility are investigated from different perspectives. The proceedings will be edited in consultation with a special editorial peer review board (double blind). The symposium publication will be available in printed form and as open access. The working languages of the symposium are Finnish, Swedish, English and German. The keynote speakers are:
In addition, The Humanist of the Year will be announced at the 2012 symposium, and this person will give the first VAKKI lecture. The 2012 membership fee is included in the symposium price for members listed in the VAKKI ry. member directory. Those who wish to participate in dinner on Friday evening must pay for it themselves (35 €) in addition to the participation fee.
