The 40th\u00a0VAKKI Symposium was organized in Vaasa in February, \"\"just before the global pandemic occurred. To celebrate the anniversary year during this difficult time for many people in the world, we are very happy to publish this versatile and multilingual issue of\u00a0VAKKI Publications\u00a0on our newly launched website. This year, we have had a good number of well-received manuscripts in this collection.\u00a0Workplace communication III\u00a0includes 20 peer-reviewed research articles in Finnish, Swedish, German, and English. The topics vary from narratives and discourses to language learning, translation, and terminology in different organizational and educational contexts. A common thread is the continuous change of working life in different contexts, which the articles address especially from the perspectives of digitalization, linguistic and cultural diversity, and responsibility. While this year\u2019s VAKKI Publication shows the symposium\u2019s long-standing tradition, the scope of it has shown a clear sign that this new theme Workplace Communication has now established itself a new direction for research in the field.<\/p>\n
